Connect Media was established in 2015 in Los Angeles, California. We hit the ground running with a focus on Commercial Real Estate, starting in California with daily news; four events in Los Angeles, Orange County, West Los Angeles and the Inland Empire; and client marketing videos and creative projects.
Real estate is a regional business and as our news coverage and offerings grew market to market, so did our team. First expanding with a National daily news email in 2016, we grew quickly over the next few years with the addition of Texas, New York, Chicago, Boston and New England, Phoenix and the Southwest, Washington DC, Florida and the Gulf Coast, Southeast, and Pacific Northwest daily emails and events and advertising to complement.
In 2019 we were named to the Inc. 5000 list for the first time, and began celebrating being one of the nation’s fastest growing privately owned companies.
During the pandemic, Connect pivoted and helped our clients across all sectors pivot as well. We worked with clients across the nation to help them go digital – creating websites, improving SEO, creating and executing social media and PPC campaigns, sending out targeted emails and putting together holistic digital marketing strategies. We shifted from live events to digital events and webcasts and curated and promoted over 400 webinars from 2020 to 2022.
In 2020 we were certified by the NMSDC (National Minority Supplier Diversity Council) as a Minority Owned Business, and named to the Financial Times Fastest Growing Companies in North America list (right next to Tesla).
Connect made a strong return to live events in 2022. We continued to expand with the launch of Connect Classroom, CRE Insider and the CRE Ad & Event Shop. We also expanded our reach into the financial services industry with the launch of Connect Money.
Connect continued to add offerings and services to expand our reach in the commercial real estate community. We acquired Apartmentbuildings.com, a dynamic real estate technology platform to search and promote multifamily listings nationwide, and relaunched the website to provide a better user experience for posting, searching and saving properties, as well as a larger database of properties overall. In September, Connect CRE launched daily Canada CRE news coverage, understanding the unique needs of the Canadian market as well as macroeconomic and investment news that impacts both Canada and US industries.
